Gauteng golf day a blast despite no electricity

What started as an overcast morning blossomed into a beautiful, warm, sunny day - perfect for our JHB golf day held at Blue Valley. The morning started early with a welcome table and coffee sponsored by Mactool Diamond & Construction Products. Golfers collected their goodie bags sponsored by Upper Edge Products including a lovely cap from Blum South Africa. Stunning golf shirts were also supplied courtesy of GRASS ZA (PTY) LTD.

A 10am shotgun start got the field of 37 4-balls on the move to work their way round a field choc a block full of events, competitions and fun which included things like a marshmallow drive and having to drop your pants to retake your shot if you hit the water. Laughter could be heard all round. Our hole sponsors went all out and plenty of networking was done in the process. Longest drive 5th, sponsored by Surface Studio - Jabu from Woodtech Longest drive 13th, sponsored by PG Bison - Ryan from Upper Edge Longest drive 18th, sponsored by Liebherr, the prize a stunning Liebherr fridge freezer valued at just under R30 000 - Drew playing with Upper Edge The longest day was won by good sports Roco Fitting We then had several lucky drawer prizes and auctioned off some lovely cuddly toys that had been part of the table decor.
The evening ended with the ever popular Barrow of Booze by Boardmart - they went all out this year with a phenominal array of alcohol that would impress any bar tender. The lucky winner was Ruhaan Shadowline Design. A great day was had by all. We are so grateful for the support and hope all will return again next year.
